#51 - Fuel Usage Automatically Computed for Burn Rates
Farm Works X2 will now compute fuel usage based on a burn rate. When setting up equipment, the option for “Fuelable” can be selected. A “Fuelable” piece of equipment allows you to enter a burn rate per hour or acre. The burn rate will automatically be computed and posted on the enterprise statement and equipment reports.

#52 - Shape Files Dan Be Directly Imported to Create Field Boundary
Arc View Shape Files that contain a field boundary can easily be converted to a Farm Works field boundary in X2. Prior versions of Farm Works allowed you to import Shape Files containing field boundaries, however, there were many steps to convert it to a useable boundary for crop record-keeping. With Farm Works X2, simply select the field name from the “Farm/Field/Job Tree” and select “Import Boundaries”. Click on the Shape File name and X2 will do the rest for you.

#55 - Shape File Import Customization
Farm Works X2 has the ability to select certain attributes to import from a Shape File. There are many times when it is worthless to import every attribute from a Shape File. A common example is when importing a soil type map. This feature will also allow you to select a unit of measure for any attribute. The purpose of this is to tie the shape file back to a crop record in the future. The example at left demonstrates someone importing (Shape File) a variable rate “as applied” map from Site Mate and changing the unit of measure to population. |

#56 - New Text Tool Options
Farm Works X2 adds more features to the text tool. The text tool can be sized based on pixels so it stays the same size no matter what the zoom level is. Another feature will be multi-selecting multiple text and changing the properties at one time. An example of this in prior versions would be if you had a more than one text item appearing on a layer. If you wanted to change the size, font, or color to all of them with one step, it could not be done. Farm Works X2 makes it easy. |

#57 - More Attributes for Yield Data
Farm Works X2 will import more attributes for yield data such as duration and speed. The Date and Time attributes will import directly to the crop record. |

#58 - Values Assigned to Harvested Crops (without Farm Funds)
A market value for harvested crops can now be entered on the harvest
dialog box. By entering this number, the program will give you a
profit/loss on the Enterprise Statement. In prior versions of Farm
Works, the only way to view this information was integrating the Farm
Funds program. |

#59 - Fewer Steps to Import Soil Test Data
If you have imported soil sample data into Farm Works in the past, you
realize the number of steps can be time consuming. Making sure the
layer is created and setting up attributes can be tedious. Erase
those memories with Farm Works X2. Simply choose the .txt, .csv, or
generic text file containing the soil test results and link it with the
shape file containing the soil sample points. Select the OK button and
the work is finished.

#60 - Merging Point Layers
Have you ever imported point data in the past on separate layers? Have
you ever wanted to merge this data on to one layer? Farm Works X2 makes
it easy. Simply select the two files under your “Job” tab and select
Merge. |
