#41 - Customizable Headers for Sorting and Filtering of Jobs

Rearrange the header on the Job tab to your preference. In the example at left, we decided to move the “Field Header” in front of the “Date Header”.

#42 - Transparency Feature

Farm Works X2 offers a new transparency feature when viewing multiple layers in Farm Site or Site Pro. Use the transparency slider to increase or decrease the level of transparency for a particular layer. This can be helpful for seeing relationships between different types of mapped data.

#43 - Supports XML Format

The FODM XML file allows users to transfer jobs from machine to machine, project to project, or user to user. Each file contains all the data about that job so that when it is imported all the data we have about each job is not lost. We see this as the way Site Pro and Farm Works Office products can exchange jobs.

#44 - New Smoothing Bar for Average and Contour Maps

When creating average and contour views in Farm Site or Site Pro, the smoothing bar eliminates extreme high and low values. By increasing the amount of smoothing, the program will look at values from surrounding areas when computing the value to use at any spot on the map. This will result in isolated high and low values being smoothed out and blended into surrounding areas.

#45 - Added Support for Shape 3D and Shape M Data Files

X2 will import the data for Shape 3D and Shape M data files. These files are the same as the “normal” shape files that we are typically used to, except that they have an X, Y, and Z value for each coordinate. We do not do anything with the Z component. The extensions are the same .shp, .dbf, .shx.

#46 - Quick Background Image Download

Downloading background images in Farm Works X2 is now even easier. Just point to the location you want the aerial photo in relation to the existing map and right-click using the mouse. As long as you have an Internet connection, the software will download the aerial photo. Prior versions of Farm Works had this same functionality, however, it took a few more steps. (X2 creates the new layer and names it automatically).

#47 - Supports Reading and Writing Data from AGCO GTA & Fieldstar Terminals

Farm Works X2 supports a wide range of AGCO products, including AGCO Fieldstar and Task Controller.

#48 - Prescription Map Designer Tool

Farm Works X2 introduces a new prescription map designer tool for Farm Site and Site Pro. Creating prescription maps for variable rate will be simple and quick. The designer tool will not be formula based, however, the user will be able to point and click the areas to assign rates. The feature will be swift and user-friendly.

#49 - Export and Import Support for Falcon Controller

Farm Works X2 will be able to export prescription maps to the Falcon Controller. Once the map is selected by using the checkmark in the Job tab… (shown in first image at left)

…the next step will be to choose the “Write Job Data” button. Here you will select the Falcon Controller option. (See the second image at left)

X2 will also read the .rpt file that comes from the Falcon for As-Applied data.

#50 - Variable Rate Summary Feature

If using Farm Works X2 to generate prescription maps in Farm Site or Site Pro, the software will give you the total quantity needed to complete the job. The software will also give you an approximate cost based on the values entered.
