#11 - Nutrient Fill List for Fertilizers

All nutrients in the Fertilizer Tab are entered for you. Also, the Product Weight area is automated based on your “Purchased Unit” and “Distributed Unit”. In the prior versions of Farm Works, this number had to be entered by the user.

#12 - Polygon Mapping Tool (for drawing fields and areas)

Farm Works X2 offers new mapping tools. The Includes Polygon Mapping Tool will eliminate the “gap” problem forever. When tracing around areas, such as fields, this tool automatically closes the boundary for you.

#13 - Polygon Mapping Tool
(for cutting out holes or objects from fields)

In the previous versions of Farm Works, a boundary had to be created in order to record crop records. This could be done by hand-drawing fields, tracing aerial photos, importing yield data, or by importing a field boundary. Even though these features are still included in X2, field records can now be entered without a map. By using the “Farm/Field/Job Tree” feature in X2, users can simply select the farm name and choose New Field.

#14 - Cancel Mapping Tool and Undo Feature

The Cancel Mapping Tool allows you to cancel what you have mapped in order to start over without saving. The “Undo” feature will allow a one-step backup while using any of the mapping tools. Simply right-click and select “Undo” to correct the mistake.

#15 - Compatible with John Deere Field Doc and GS2

Farm Works X2 will be fully compatible with John Deere Field Doc (*.gsd) and GS2 display.

#16 - Field Records without a Map

There are two options for entering crop records in Farm Works X2. If you would rather not use the map to record field records, the new version allows you to enter these records by selecting the fields from a drop-down list. Fields are listed alphabetically. Simply select the field or fields and choose the “Apply to Fields” button.

#17 - Simplified Enterprising

No longer worry about closing and opening enterprises for each field. The simplified enterprising only will ask the year and crop for the farming action, thus reducing the chance of making mistakes. What's more, if you assign a farming action to the wrong enterprise, all you need to do is edit it and change the enterprise.

#18 - Preloaded Commodities List

Farm Works X2 comes preloaded with a master commodity list. Simply select the “Add” button and a list of commodities from which you can choose will appear. Select the desired commodity and proceed to the next step.

#19 - Automated Commodity Properties

Another important feature is the automated commodity properties. Once you select the commodity from the drop-down list, the program is smart enough to know the units, density, and moisture for each. The program is flexible enough to allow any unit of harvest, however, it will default to the most common one. The “Value” area is also new to Farm Trac or Farm Trac/Farm Site users. By entering the “Market Value” per harvest unit, the program will give you an approximate profit/loss per field without purchasing Farm Funds.

#20 - Hour Calculator

When entering field records in Farm Works X2, there is a “smart” hour calculator. If entering a start and stop date and time, the program will calculate the hours on equipment and personnel. Better records while reducing data entry.
