Version 9.0 Update Features

The following is a list of changes included in Version 9.0 which was released on September 22, 2003. Owners of Version 9 are entitled to additional free downloadable updates. If you do not have version 9, you must purchase it first to use this free downloadable update.

All Programs:
. A "Calendar" button has been added to make date selection faster and easier.

Farm Trac Plus:
. Read geo-referenced data from USGS Quads CDs to automatically create road, waterway, railroad and miscellaneous transportation maps for your farm.
. Download high-resolution, geo-referenced imagery from the internet directly into Trac Plus.
. Assign costs to supplies (seed, chemicals & fertilizer) to generate cost reports for farming operations on fields.

Farm Trac Plus & Site Pro:
. Enter "Planned Jobs" for upcoming planting, tillage, spraying, spreading and other farming operations.
. Import "Planned Jobs" that are in an FODM format (used by Pioneer Seed Reps and others) so plans made by seed reps and crop consultants can be used in Farm Works.
. Print "Planned Summary Reports" to see the planned amount of product usage (seed, chemicals, fertilizer, etc...) along with planned equipment and personnel usage. Reports are ideal for resource allocation, product ordering, prepaying and budgeting.
. Select Planned Jobs and edit/complete them so actual farming actions do not have to be re-entered.
. Farming Operations have Start and Stop times.
. Notations include Start and Stop times.
. Chemical Reports include Start & Stop times.
. Farming box has a "Job Notes" button for entering notations. These notations will be listed with the farming operation and will be removed if the farming action is removed.
. Farming Operations Carrier Rates are now really numbers (in the past they were a drop-down list) and "Carrier Units" is a separate drop-down list.

Farm Funds:
. The Supplies tab now has an "Add Supply" button so supplies can be added without purchasing.

Farm Site & Site Pro:
. Quick Yield Import now allows you to import more than one Ag Leader or John Deere yield file at the same time (provided they come from the same combine).
. Calibration options for Ag Leader binary data allows you to use calibration data from a different file when importing data. This allows users to apply good calibration data to files that had poor calibration data.
. Quick Yield Import box displays information about file such as yield monitor serial #, type of data, and file size in the first screen of the wizard (where the files are selected).
. Quick Yield Import features new filters for grain flow rates, moisture and speed.
. ArcView Shape File imports now default the layer name to the name of the shape file.

Site Mate:
. The Data Tab has a "GSV Graph" option that shows the constellation of all visible satellites. This includes satellites being used highlighted in red and Signal-to-Noise Ratios for each satellite shown graphically.
. Indicators can be customized to show "GPS & Differential Indicators" or "Number of Satellites & HDOP Indicators".
. The Display area now allows users to specify a line width for background lines/paths.
. Site Mate Scouting has a "Date Type" attribute.
. Settings such as Picklists, Templates and VRA Setups can now be saved to a PC Card from the File menu.
. Site Mate Data Logging can log data from the Ntech Greenseeker.
. Site Mate VRA works with the John Blue LM 2000 Controller.

Farm Stock:
. Added a right-click menu in Blood Lines to show Ancestors, Parents and Offspring.

Version 9.11 Update Features

The following is a list of changes that were included in Version 9.11, which was released in February 2004. This is a free update, and is included in the newer version which can be downloaded from the link above.

Farm Trac Plus & Site Pro:
. Fixed farming notations to include the unit of measure for supplies.
. Planning reports use printer settings set in Farm Works instead of always the default printer settings.
. Fixed problems where the "total" column for Machine Enterprise Statements would be missing in the spreadsheet preview.
. Fixed problems where total average yield on the seed report was wrong (when multiple varieties were used in the same field).
. Fixed printing of pest lists on chemical report so that over the 3rd line does not overrun the next set of pests.
. Changed the seed report to use the enterprise crop area instead of the current field size so that old operations are not affected by changes to the field.
. Changed the planning report so picture of field displays correctly with Windows 95.

Farm Funds:
. Added functionality to loans where loan payments can have any Expense account, not just "Interest Expense". This is for users who want to use a separate interest expense account for each loan.
. All new "Sales Report" in the Income & Sales section.
. Added ability to print GL Detail Report without inactive accounts (accounts with no bal forward or entries for the date range).
. The Market Value report will now use the working date as the report's ending date.
. Added support for voiding Transfers from Harvested Crops to Supplies.
. Changed the invoice to properly display the return of goods that were credited against a receivable and sales that were partially deposited and partially an AR.
. Fixed bug where removing W-2 from print list did not change totals in the W-3 screen.
. Fixed problem where Sales & Purchases Reports gave an error when printing.
. Increased State ID width on the 1099.
. Changed the Account Register so you can record deposits directly through the register.
. Changed details for Gain/Loss on Land sales so it displays details in the Trial Balance.

.
Added support for John Deere .gsd files.
. Increased decimals on Yield Monitor report to 2 for Mass, Moisture, Area, Avg. Yield, and Total Yield.
. Changed the monitor summary data to include only the grain that is imported on the layer. Previously the summary had all crops from that field that year included on the summary.
. Added automatic archiving of yield files.
. Fixed Site Verification and As Applied log files to not use the flyaway filter that required a minimum number of points to be in an area before mapping any.
. Fixed selection of a specific calibration file for .yld file imports.
. Fields are now listed in alphabetical order in the Yield Monitor and Yield Load reports.
. Fixed notation made to the fields when a yield file is imported for them.

Farm Stock:
.
Fixed missing Restore Backup dialog when in Stock alone.

This is currently only available with Trac Plus but will be added to Site Pro in the near future.
