Version 10 Update Features
Farm Trac Plus & Site Pro:
- Previously entered Farming Actions may now be edited through the “Operations
Maintenance” box. This allows users to pull up any number of previously
entered farming records and make changes as needed (without having to remove the
farming actions and re-enter them).
- You can now select multiple lines (or segments of lines) with the Pointer
Tool and the program will display the combined length at the bottom of the screen.
Farm Funds:
- A “Merge” feature has been added to “Enterprise Maintenance”
to merge two enterprises into one. This is useful if unneeded enterprises have
been created, such as happens if an enterprise is ended and a new enterprise is
created for the same crop (when both enterprises should actually be one).
- Payroll Deductions can now be specified to reduce taxable income for any
combination of Federal, FICA, Medicare, State, City, County, Federal Unemployment
and State Unemployment.
Farm Site & Site Pro:
- Added support for the new Case “Voyager” yield format. These yield
files have a .vyg file extension and can be read in using the Quick Yield Tools.
- Added support for the new Ag Leader “Insight” yield format. These
yield files have a .ilf file extension and can be read in using the Quick Yield
Tools.
- Added support for the new John Deere “GSD” yield format. These
yield files have a .gsd file extension and can be read in using the Quick Yield
Tools. This version only supports yield data in this format and not other data
such as “Field Doc” data that has the same file extension.
- Added support for AGCO yield format. The user will still need to have the
Agco “Open Office” software. Open Office is used to read the data
from the PC Card. The Quick Yield Tools can then be used to read the yield data.
Direct reading from a PC card will be coming in the future.
Farm Stock:
- Farm Stock has a new “full screen” layout that is easier to navigate.
- Pre-defined Calendar events can now be set to trigger more than one event.
For example, a birth could be set to trigger an expected weaning as well as a
vaccination on a different date.
- Health Records now include Reason, Treatment, Shot Location, Lot Number (for
vaccine), Shot Type, Administrator, Dose, Dose Units, and Comments.
- Farm Stock now saves every weight that is entered (along with the date of
the weight). In the past it only saved the birth, weaning, sale and current date
(when a new current weight was entered, it over-wrote the prior weight).
- All Farm Stock reports can be exported in a number of useful formats including
Word, .pdf, Excel, and Text.
- New reports have been added including a “Weight History” and
new “Health Action” report.
- Note that Version 10.0 no longer supports any type of Custom Reports. A new
report writer will be included with one of the next releases. The new report writer
will be much easier to use and will be similar to the Crop Summary Report in Farm
Trac+ .
Farm Site Mate:
- The Navigate Tool in Site Mate has been changed. When the Navigation Tool
is displayed in the lower left-hand corner, you can tap on it and have the compass
enlarged so it fills the entire screen.
- When mapping a path, Site Mate will display the length of that path as you
go. This is displayed on the status bar at the bottom of the screen (where the
file name was previously displayed).
- Farm Site Mate now has a “Measure Tool” that allows you to click
and drag and make a “measuring line”. The program displays the distance
of that measuring line.
