GPS Receiver for Any Device with Bluetooth Capability

The Mobile Crossing Bluetooth GPS adds affordable GPS capabilities to any device with Bluetooth wireless capability, including PDAs, laptops, tablet PCs, and smart phones.

This Bluetooth GPS can lock onto 12 satellites simultaneously, including WAAS. Thanks to high-performance low-power SiRF Star II/LP, the receiver lasts a minimum of 8 hours per battery charge. The removable battery allows you to carry a spare for extended use or emergencies.

One key difference between the Mobile Crossing Bluetooth GPS and others is it's unique firmware upgrades, resulting in increased altitude accuracy and wireless reliability. It uses the new geoid correction to the altitude calculation which produces results that are closer to reality. Improvements in software provide greater accuracy with differential GPS enabled, now down to 5 meters 95% of the time. Even with WAAS turned off, this Bluetooth GPS pinpoints your position to 15 meters 95% of the time, and within 10 meters 90% of the time. Although this GPS is not accurate enough for highly precise applications, this WAAS receiver is great for trip navigation, aviation and marine navigation, field scouting and sampling.

It is fully compatible with NMEA 0183, so works with almost any software that supports this industry standard. It is also strictly compliant to Bluetooth 1.1 standards. Any device that supports the CompactFlash "Modem" profile will be able to recognize this GPS card. This receiver has, as of September 2005, been tested and found to work with devices listed below. Mobile Crossing will provide tech support even for devices that are not on this list.
